Message from Ma'am Andres, CISD Chief, in behalf of the PSHS Management Committe (ManCom):
PISAY! While most of the violence is at the other end of the block (edsa), the ManCom has decided to suspend the classes for another day. This morning (8am) there were truckloads of police and demolition teams along Agham. The residents resisted them thus the police and the mmda backed off and i guess, concentrated on the edsa side. The news is that demolition will push through tonight. As it is Agham road is littered with debris from the area and the edsa traffic has been re-routed to our street. Police and MMDA people can be seen at each corner. While on the other side of Agham there are speeches given by the rallyist every now and them. The Ombudsman also suspended work for the day. Dormers were advised to go home.
The QC-CBD is a very large area (edsa to agham). We expect continuous negotiations and demolitions until October. However, that does not mean that we will suspend classes up to October. We plan to resume classes on Monday, September 27. The school bus and vans will ferry students to and from Pisay. In the morning, the van/bus will pick up students, teachers and staff at the Eton Centris station and another in SM North Edsa. The first trip will be at 6:30. Another trip will be made at 7:00. In the afternoon the bus/van will ferry students from the school to Edsa/QAve, then to SM and then to Philcoa starting at 3:30.
So what of the periodic exams? The exams will be moved for a week. What of the field trip/s? Batch advisers, please inform us of your plans. Have you finalized arrangements, closed deals for the field trip? Please consult us before making any announcements.
If you have any questions, please call the office 924-0661 or text me at 0919-9670426 (inlude your name- i will not reply to unknowns) or send me a pm here. Please pass this on.
