( Please post this on your class sites...at parang awa niyo na...HUWAG ISAMA YUNG NAKA-PARENTHESIS NA ITO SA IPO-POST NINYO...=)) ) //masunurin akong bata. 8D

Due to unforeseeable circumstances with regards to the printing of the shirts, the Council has deemed it fit to send out the CALL FOR NEW DESIGNS for the batch shirt. These will be due on Monday, the 26th of August 2010, immediately after the flag ceremony.

Designs MUST BE on hardcopy. There SHOULD BE six (6) copies, one shall be submitted to each of the batch officers (Aldiosa - Cesium, Calub - Lithium, Espina - Beryllium, Paguio - Lithium, Peralta - Cesium, Tugade - Cesium).

Furthermore, the unforeseeable circumstances has forced us to REQUIRE each class to hold a snap election for the design of the batch shirt during their respective homeroom classes. The shirts which will be submitted to the Council on the day itself, as well as previously submitted/unrecognized designs, will be included in the voting proper. The current design, with its modifications, shall be released on thesecond semester, as agreed upon by the Batch Adviser and the Council.

On a final note, please post the attached file on your class sites. Reminders:
  • The reply slip is due on Monday during HR class.
  • The payments are due on August 31, but they will be accepted starting on Monday.
  • Each student is required to purchase at least one (1) shirt.
  • Everyone is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to join the Family Day. Kung gusto niyong dalhin ang buong barangay, lahat ng naki-birthday party, nagsugal sa lamay, tumaya sa Lotto, sige lang...go! Walang pumipigil sa inyo.
For any questions or clarifications, please direct them to the batch officers or to Sir Nat.

Thank you very much.

Letter about the uniform

August18, 2010

Dear Students and Parents,

Our school physician, Dr. Corazon Batoon, still recommends the wearing of maong pants. This
will now be required for BOTH boys and girls until end of August, subject to extension. The
wearing of maong pants by girls was initially lifted because of the intensified spraying this
weekend. However, according to Dr. Batoon and other parent-‐doctors, it is best to continue the
wearing of pants. Maong pants, rather than slacks, is advised (and now required, effective
Monday-‐ August 23) because the thicker the cloth, the better protection against mosquito bites.
Several TV news programs aired just tonight report outbreaks of dengue in different places in
the country. Let us all remember that dengue is life-‐threatening.

Still on the school attire, the maong pants should be blue (any shade) for uniformity. Girls will
still continue wearing the uniform blouse and for the boys, the uniform polo. For shoes, both boys
and girls should wear black leather shoes and socks (black or white). Aside from this prescribed
attire, the use of mosquito repellant is a MUST.

In connection with the uniform, may I take this opportunity to inform you that starting
September, all students should have the school patch on the pocket at the left side of the
blouse/polo. This will be part of the school uniform. Patches are now available at the PSHS Coop.
Please be guided accordingly.

Very truly yours,
Dr. Cristina B. Cristobal
Chief, Student Services Division

For Aug 18-Aug27

@Dengue cases
In case you have parents inquiring regarding reason for "No Classes" on Aug 18 - 20, kindly post in your e-groups this info verified with Dr. Cristobal :

Half-day on Aug 18 (Wed) so we can have general clean-up in the afternoon. Aug 19 (Thurs), no classes because it's Quezon City Day. And Aug 20 (Fri) no classes also to maximize time for further general clean-up, cutting of tall plants and cleaning of gutters that catch/hold water.

We have six students who have already been confined due to dengue, two of whom have been placed in ICU. Four of these students are dormers.

Thank you very much.

@Bio invite

Please let me know if you want to come by sending me an email or a short message through 0915-5185031. Please include your name and your contact number. Make sure that your parents approve. Letters will be given tomorrow. This will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
